Cookies cut cucumbers

The cucumbers- well, the cucumbers are pretty mean. They hold a bunch of grudges because of humans making them into pickles. So when the cookies come along, the cucumbers already don’t like them because humans eat the cookies without subjecting them to the horrors of pickling. But the cookies, well, the cookies didn’t like the pickles you see. See, the cookies were jealous of the pickles. They got extra attention from the humans instead of being beat/whisked and cooked! Each type of food wished they were the other type, and a war ensued. As you probably already know, there was a series of battles, but the war was won by the cookies! How? You may ask. It was because of the cookies’ secret weapon- their sharp edges! With their edges the cookies waged victory over the cucumbers by cutting them. After years of retelling, this story was mostly lost with very few people knowing it. Instead it was reduced to the phrase, “cookies cut cucumbers”
